(5th wheel) and 32,500 lbs. (14,742 kg.) (gooseneck). A 5th-Wheel/Gooseneck Hitch Prep Package, available with 6-3/4-ft. or 8-ft. pickup box, can set you up for this exceptional towing capability. Included are a factory-installed 5th-wheel and gooseneck substructure attached to the frame (factory-installed on 4x4 model only), leaving a flat cargo load bed, a patented system covered by the Ford limited warranty (see your dealer for details). This system is compatible with 5th-wheel hitch kits and gooseneck hitch kits offered through the factory and from Ford Custom Accessories.

A huge difficulty facing drivers while manoeuvring larger trailers can be summed up in one word. Visibility. Enter the new available class-exclusive* Trailer Reverse Guidance System**. Using cameras in the sideview mirrors, the system displays visual guides via the centre dash screen. You get an enhanced rear view of where the trailer is going, with the guide lines changing with the movements of the steering wheel. The camera view is digitally expanded on the side where the trailer is going, showing the direction of both the truck and the trailer. A Rear Camera Prep Kit is also available for mounting a customer-placed camera at the rear of the trailer. Now, one difficult task on the job isn’t nearly so difficult anymore.
