Ford Co-Pilot360 is the most advanced suite of standard driver-assist technologies among full-line brands in North America.* This safety system includes:


  • Auto high-beam headlamps10
  • Blind Spot Information System (BLIS®)10 – can help warn drivers of vehicles in their blind spot
  • Lane-Keeping System10,138 – helps drivers keep vehicle inside of its lane
  • Pre-Collision Assist106 with Automatic Emergency Braking(AEB)118 (with Pedestrian Detection10, Forward Collision Warning and Dynamic Brake Support) – system can apply the vehicle’s brakes to help avoid slower vehicles ahead
  • Rear view camera10 – allows drivers to see what’s behind them while reversing

Pre-Collision Assist106 with Pedestrian Detection106

Take smart on the road via Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection,106 which is part of the standard Ford Co-Pilot360.™ If the system’s sensors detect a potential collision with a car or pedestrian in front of you, a warning flashes on the windshield and an alert sounds. Also, the brakes will precharge and increase brake-assist sensitivity to provide full responsiveness when you do brake. If you do not take corrective action and collision is imminent, the brakes can apply automatically.

Inflatable Rear Safety Belts8

The Ford Fusion is the first vehicle in its class* to offer inflatable rear safety belts. 8 These available rear outboard safety belts are designed to hold the passenger in the appropriate seating position and can help distribute crash-force energy across more of the torso area than traditional belts, which can help reduce the risk of injury, while providing support to the head and neck.8 These safety belts are compatible with many infant and child-safety booster seats. (Shown in inflated state.)
