The Super Duty® Chassis Cab has a high-strength, military-grade aluminum-alloy body. Aluminum alloy is lighter than the steel previously used, yet it’s immensely strong. It’s also more dent-and ding-resistant and not subject to red rust. Beneath this lighter body is a fully boxed under-cab/c-channel aft-of-cab frame that’s built of 95 percent high-strength steel and has eight times the torsional rigidity of the previous design.
