Available BLIS®  (Blind Spot Information System) with Cross-Traffic Alert10

The available Ford Safe and Smart Package™  includes BLIS (Blind Spot Information System) with Cross-Traffic Alert10 . This feature uses radar to identify a vehicle detected in your blind spot and alerts you with an indicator light in the appropriate exterior mirror. Cross-Traffic Alert also uses radar to watch for traffic behind you as you’re slowly backing out of a parking spot or driveway. If cross-traffic sensors detect a vehicle approaching from up to 15 yards (13.7 metres) away, you will be audibly and visually alerted10 .
Available Enhanced Active Park Assist

Available Enhanced Active Park Assist

Available Enhanced Active Park Assistis designed to help you park in a variety of situations. With minimal actions on your part, the Ford Escape virtually steers itself into or out of a parking spot.

  • Parallel Parking scans for an appropriate space, signals when one is found, then helps steer you into the space*.
  • Park Out Assist provides instructions on shifting and moving forward/back to help steer you out of a tight spot*.
  • Reverse Perpendicular Parking finds a suitable space and helps you back in*.
  • Side Sensing System emits a warning when you get too close to an object on either side of your vehicle. Standard on Titanium.
*System controls steering while you shift, accelerate and brake.
Adaptive Cruise Control and Forward Collision Warning with Brake Support

Available Adaptive Cruise Control and Forward Collision Warning with Brake Support10

The available Ford Safe and Smart™  Package includes Adaptive Cruise Control and Forward Collision Warning with Brake Support. You can select the speed and distance you want to maintain from the vehicle in front of you. When traffic ahead slows down, your vehicle automatically slows down, and later resumes the preset speed when traffic clears10 . Forward Collision Warning with Brake Support can alert you to a potential collision with the vehicle ahead. If you don’t react in time, the brakes will precharge and increase sensitivity, providing full responsiveness when you brake10 .
Available Lane Keeping System

Available Lane-Keeping System10

The available Ford Safe and Smart Package includes the driver-activated Lane-Keeping System, which can alert you to unintentional lane drifting10 * . Choose the lane-keeping alert mode that vibrates the steering wheel when you drift too close to a lane marker — or the lane- keeping aid mode that activates a directional steering torque to help guide you back to the centre of the lane. Or combine the effects of both modes: Continue drifting after the steering torque is activated and the steering wheel adds the vibrating sensation.
*Lane-Keeping System does not control steering.
