What is a reservation?
A reservation is the opportunity for customers to save a spot in line when the F-150 Lightning becomes available to place an order with their selected dealer. It is not a vehicle order or purchase, does not grant any interest in a vehicle, and does not guarantee delivery or priority. Your dealer will be able to change your vehicle configuration before placing your order.
What steps are required to complete my reservation?
From the F-150 Lightning reveal page on Ford.ca, select Reserve Now, create/login to your Ford Account, select your preferred Ford EV Certified dealer and enter your credit card details and address. A confirmation receipt will be sent to the email address you provide. *
You will also request your selected dealer contact you with respect to your reservation and authorize Ford to provide your selected dealer with your contact information, including email and phone number, and reservation number. Your credit card information will not be shared.
What is a Ford Account and why do I need one?
Your Ford Account enables you to reserve your F-150 Lightning* and track your reservation at https://www.ford.ca/profile/myprofilev2/
With your Ford Account, you will be able to log in to the Ford.ca website to save and manage your personal and reservation information. A Ford Account also lets you sign into many Ford websites with the same account credentials.
Can I select any Ford Dealer?
Ford of Canada EV Certified dealers will be eligible to sell the F-150 Lightning. These dealers will be provided for your selection based on your postal code, or you can choose to enter the name/postal code of your favourite dealer if EV Certified.
Can I make changes to my reservation?
No, only a cancellation of a reservation is possible currently. You will be able to make changes and complete your vehicle selection at the time you place your order with your selected dealer. *
Is the $100 reservation amount refundable?
The Reservation amount will be refunded to you by Ford once your dealer has processed your vehicle order and handled the other details of your vehicle purchase. Your dealer may request a vehicle deposit or other information from you. If you cancel your Reservation before placing an order with a dealer, your payment will be credited back to your credit card within 10 business days. Please note that all cancellations are final.
Will you share my reservation information with my dealer?
Can I cancel my reservation?
Yes. You may cancel your reservation at any time and receive a refund of your payment online at https://www.ford.ca/profile/myprofilev2/. If you cancel your reservation, your payment will be credited back to your credit card within 10 business days. Please note that all cancellations are final. If you enter into a purchase agreement for the vehicle with your dealer, this may include a deposit requirement negotiated between you and your dealer. Your payment for the Reservation will be credited back to your credit card.
When can I order my vehicle?
The order conversion process will begin in late Summer/Early Fall 2021. Customers should expect their selected dealer to schedule an order consultation to complete their vehicle configuration, other details of the vehicle purchase, and place their order.
Am I buying this vehicle directly from Ford?
No. If you choose to buy the vehicle, the vehicle purchase will be between you and the dealer, not you and Ford.
Can I call or visit my Dealer to place my order?
Yes, your Ford EV Certified Dealer can assist with submitting and processing your F-150 Lightning order.
What happens to the reservation deposit once I order?
If you enter into a purchase agreement for the vehicle with your dealer, which may include a deposit requirement negotiated between you and your dealer, your payment for the Reservation fee will be credited back to your credit card within ten business days. *
When will I take delivery of my vehicle?
You will be able to order your F-150 Lightning later this year. Production and deliveries are currently estimated to begin Spring 2022. Delivery times may vary based on vehicle model and configuration selected, residency and demand.
How many reservations can I make and can I transfer my reservation?
You may make up to four reservations per Account. Your reservation number is assigned to you and cannot be transferred. *
