Work easier, faster, smarter.

Work easier, faster, smarter.

The all-new Super Duty® Chassis Cab is tougher than ever. It’s also the smartest Super Duty ever, making life for you on the job easier and more comfortable than ever with its redesigned cab, improved suspension, and a host of new productivity features. Super Duty can also enhance your bottom line from the outset by helping upfitters get your vehicle body completed and on the job as quickly as possible.
Available Controller Area Network (CAN) Interface Module

Available Controller Area Network (CAN) Interface Module

The electrical system in today’s vehicles is more complex than ever. Even a simple brake light is tied into what is known as the vehicle’s Controller Area Network (CAN). Which is why it’s so important for upfitters to be able to properly and consistently connect their electrical equipment to the CAN busses or ports.  The Super Duty® makes this job easier with its available factory-installed CAN interface module. Upfitters can establish direct CAN connections, quickly and accurately, using a laptop or notebook.
Class-Exclusive Live-Drive Power Takeoff Provision with Mobile Mode

Class-Exclusive* Live-Drive Power Takeoff Provision with Mobile Mode

The class-exclusive* Live-Drive Power Takeoff (PTO) Provision with Mobile Mode** lets you power an aftermarket snow plow, pump, compressor or other accessory. And the big news: PTO provision is now standard with the 6.2L V8 and 6.8L V10 gas engine as well as the 6.7L Power Stroke® Turbo Diesel. An output gear connects directly to the engine crankshaft to power your PTO anytime the engine is running, whether the truck is in motion or stopped. Another innovative feature is “split-shaft” capability (diesel only) that allows multiple accessories to operate at the same time when the truck is stopped.

*Class 3-5 Conventional Chassis Cabs vs 2016 competitors.

**Requires aftermarket power takeoff (PTO) accessory.

More Comfort for all cab configurations

More Comfort for all cab configurations

All three cabs — Regular Cab, SuperCab (shown) or and Crew Cab — benefit from a longer cab. They have been elongated to provide more legroom.  That means more comfort for a taller driver or passenger.
Six Factory-Installed Auxiliary Upfitter Switches

Six Factory-Installed Auxiliary Upfitter Switches

Standard factory-installed auxiliary upfitter switches now total six (up from four). The system includes two 40-amp switches (ignition on or off) plus four 25-amp switches (ignition on), all of which include fuses and associated relays.  What’s more, the switches are conveniently integrated into the new overhead console/storage compartment. Upfitter switches are a convenient way to connect a variety of aftermarket accessories (such as a winch, lights, strobes, 2-way radio) to the vehicle’s electrical system. Because they’re factory-installed, there’s no need to cut into the truck’s electrical system when installing accessories. Convenient, easy to use, and reliable.
Improved Ride and Steering

Improved Ride and Steering

You’d think at least a few sacrifices would have to be made somewhere in a truck with as many improvements in performance, payload and towing as the all-new Super Duty® Chassis Cab has.  Possibly a stiffer, less comfortable ride?  To the contrary, ride comfort are and steering are improved as well, with the all-new fully boxed under-cab steel frame, redesigned c-channel aft-of-cab frame, as well as upgraded suspension and steering components and steering system.

DEF Tank Level Gauge (Diesel Engine)

DEF Tank Level Gauge (Diesel Engine)

Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) is a non-hazardous solution, 32.5% urea and 67.5% de-ionized water. Essential to diesel engine operation, DEF is sprayed into the exhaust stream of diesel-powered vehicles to break down noxious NOx emissions into harmless nitrogen and water. DEF is stored in its own tank with a blue filler cap because it must be kept separate from diesel fuel. Instead of using a warning light on the dash to alert you to DEF running low, the  Super Duty provides a digital gauge that gives you a real-time measurement of how much DEF is stored in the tank.
