Some applications need more low-end muscle for heavy hauling. Others call for balanced overall performance on the highway. Because your vocation has specific power requirements, we offer two engine choices in our E-Series Cutaway models. The standard 6.8L Triton® V10 delivers 305 horsepower and 420 lb.-ft. of torque.
The available 6.2L flex-fuel V8 is rated at 331 horsepower and 356 lb.-ft. of torque. Both engines are teamed with the proven, durable Ford-built TorqShift® 6-speed automatic transmission.
The available 6.2L flex-fuel V8 offers years of proven performance on tough F-Series Super Duty® jobs. Rated at 331 horsepower and 356 lb.-ft. of torque (Horsepower and torque numbers achieved using 93 octane fuel) the 6.2L has single overhead- cam design and dual-equal variable-cam timing — features that optimize power across the entire power band. Available is the CNG/Propane Gaseous Engine Prep Package* that converts fuel type from conventional unleaded gasoline to compressed natural gas or liquefied propane autogas.
*Vehicle will be equipped with the standard factory gasoline fuel system. This package does not include CNG/Propane autogas fuel tanks and lines, which are sold separately. See your dealer for details.
Featuring a brawny 305 horsepower and gas torque of 420 lb.-ft. (Horsepower and torque numbers achieved using 93 octane fuel) the standard Ford-built 6.8L Triton® V10 is engineered to generate the raw power required for the heavy-duty hauling and towing applications typical of Class 3–4 cutaway chassis. The 6.8L V10 is coupled with the TorqShift® 6-speed automatic transmission, also Ford- built, which includes a selectable tow/haul mode that automatically compensates for altitude, grade and load conditions.
