PRODUCTIVITY

DESIGNED TO WORK HARDER AND SMARTER

Ford F-650 and F-750 trucks don’t just get the job done; they get it done efficiently. The upfitter-friendly frame is designed to easily accommodate vocational bodies. And then there’s standard Intelligent Oil-Life Monitor® on the Power Stroke® V8 Turbo Diesel engine that alerts you when it needs an oil change based on actual vehicle usage. Diesel models also feature a new available Rapid-Heat Supplemental Cab Heater to provide instant heat in cold weather. Brawn meets brains in Ford Medium Duty trucks.

CLEAN, EASY UPFITTING

F-650/F-750 trucks feature a work-ready frame developed with leading upfitters to accommodate most vocational bodies. This collaboration resulted in components such as fuel tanks, battery boxes and diesel exhaust fluid reservoirs located under the cab. Choose from 36 standard clean CA offerings ranging from 72 to 207" (1,829 to 5,258 mm).

LIVE-DRIVE POWER TAKEOFF (PTO) PROVISION WITH STATIONARY AND MOBILE MODES

The Ford TorqShift® HD 6-speed automatic with the available Live-Drive Power Takeoff Provision* includes stationary and mobile modes for diesel and gas engines. An output PTO gear connects directly to the transmission’s torque converter impeller hub to allow Live Drive to power the PTO anytime the engine is running, whether the truck is moving or stopped. Split-shaft capability (diesel only) allows a customer to install a SplitShaft Gearbox attached to the output shaft of the transmission which provides torque to two separate PTO outlets, giving you the ability to power two separate accessories when the truck is in stationary mode.

*Requires aftermarket Power Takeoff accessory.

OPERATOR-COMMANDED REGENERATION WITH ACTIVE INHIBIT (DIESEL)

The Ford Power Stroke® Turbo Diesel offers features to monitor and initiate diesel particulate filter regeneration. When exhaust soot builds up in the diesel particulate filter (DPF), the engine will need to clear the filter of soot through a process called active regeneration. The Power Stroke® Turbo Diesel offers an available Active Regen Control that delays this auto regeneration if the truck is idling over combustible material such as dry grass. When idling, especially for extended periods of time, the engine doesn’t generate enough heat to automatically clear the DPF. That’s when the standard Manual Regen initiation feature comes in. A light on the instrument panel alerts the driver of the need for regeneration, and pushing a button starts the process of raising the exhaust temperature to burn off the soot in the DPF.10
