The F-150 Lightning with the extended-range battery and included 80A Ford Charge Station Pro**** (which requires professional installation) provides the fastest home charge, connected features, and available Ford Intelligent Backup Power. The 80A Ford Charge Station Pro is also available with a standard-range battery.
What charge level does Ford recommend for daily driving?
Ford recommends that you charge to 90% for everyday driving and charge to 100% when you need the full range for a trip. Charging to 90% helps keep the battery healthy.
What is the power of the onboard chargers?
The standard-range onboard charger input is 11.3 kilowatt (kW), and the extended-range dual onboard charger is 19.2kW. Vehicle onboard chargers limit the amount of power a vehicle can accept during charge events. Consider your onboard charger capability with the power capability of your charge equipment as well as the spare power of your home energy circuit when deciding which is the right home charging solution for you. What body parts are the same as the gas-powered F-150?
The F-150 Lightning shares a number of body panels with the internal combustion engine and F-150 PowerBoost Hybrid, which include the doors and bed interior. These commonalities enable the transfer of your accessories and upfits between the two trucks.
How do you know the range is accurate when towing and hauling?
The F-150 Lightning comes equipped with Intelligent Range that helps calculate range based on past driver behaviour weather conditions, speed, terrain, and even towing and payload (with available onboard scales), taking advantage of the cloud to predict how much energy will be used in future driving. If the range is impacted notably by any number of factors at the start of a trip, drivers will receive a notification in their vehicle cluster highlighting the new range estimate and details about why the estimate changed.

The F-150 Lightning has power outlets in the cab, bed, and frunk but does not have auxiliary switches to tap into.
