How do I change my Ford Account username?

Your Ford account and the Ford app share the same username, which can be updated on the Ford Support website. 

Updating Your Account Username

Select the drop-down option below to choose the method you are using to learn how to update your username. 

With a Mobile Device or Tablet

  1. Go to ford.ca/support.
  2. Tap the Menu dropdown.
  3. Select My Account​​​​​.
  4. Choose Sign In.
  5. Enter your username and password.
  6. Tap Sign In.
  7. Select the Menu dropdown.
  8. Choose My Account.
  9. Tap <Your Name's> Account.
  10. Select the Sign-In & Security tile.
  11. Click Edit next to your email address, which is also your username.
  12. Verify your account by entering the verification code sent to your email address.
  13. Update your email address.
  14. Tap Update.

With a PC and Mac

  1. Go to ford.ca/support.
  2. Select the Account icon.
  3. Choose Sign In.
  4. Log in to your Ford account.
  5. Select the Account icon.
  6. Choose <Your Name's> Account.
  7. Scroll down to the "Manage Settings" section and select Sign-in & Security.
  8. Click Edit next to your email address, which is also your username.
  9. Verify your account by entering the verification code sent to your email address.
  10. Update your email address.
  11. Select Update.
