Why is the Ford app not responding?

If you receive a message stating the Ford app has become unresponsive, attempt the following:

  1. Check for any Ford app updates on your mobile device.
    • If the update option appears, complete the update and try using the Ford app again.
    • If the Ford app shows as up-to-date, continue to troubleshoot using the steps below.

      Note: If you are unsure if your app version is up-to-date, search for "Ford" in your respective app store.
       
  2. Check your cellular strength and/or Wi-Fi® connection.
    • If using Wi-Fi, check to see if it is enabled.
      • If Wi-Fi is turned off, turn Wi-Fi on and attempt to connect.
      • If Wi-Fi is turned on, turn Wi-Fi off and attempt to connect using cellular data.
    • If using your cellular data, check to see if it is enabled.
      • If cellular data is turned off, turn cellular data on and attempt to connect.
      • If cellular data is turned on, turn cellular data off and attempt to connect using Wi-Fi.
  3. Force close the Ford app.

    1. Select Settings on your device.
    2. Scroll down and select Apps in the Device section.
    3. Select the Ford app.
    4. Tap the Stop or Force Stop option.
    5. Select OK to confirm the action.

    1. Press the Home button twice.
    2. Swipe left or right until you locate the Ford app.
    3. Swipe up on the the Ford app.
  4. Log out of the Ford app and then back in.
  5. Power off your device for 30 - 60 seconds.
