How do I turn my Ford vehicle's Wi-Fi hotspot on and off?
You can turn on your Wi-Fi® hotspot* using your vehicle's SYNC®** screen.
Requirements
To use the Wi-Fi hotspot feature:
- Your vehicle must be equipped with Wi-Fi capabilities.
- Your vehicle must be equipped with a modem.
- Your vehicle's modem must be activated.
- You must set up a Wi-Fi data plan.
Enabling The Vehicle's Wi-Fi Hotspot
Instructions may vary depending on your vehicle's model and year. Refer to your Owner’s Manual for information specific to your vehicle.
Note: Ensure your vehicle is running and in Park (P) in an open, well-ventilated, and safe area.
- Tap Settings on your vehicle's SYNC screen.
- Select Vehicle Hotspot or Wi-Fi Hotspot.
- Toggle the Wi-Fi Hotspot slider On.

*Wi-Fi hotspot includes wireless data trial that begins upon Bell activation and expires at the end of 3 months or when 3GB of data is used, whichever comes first, but cannot extend beyond the trial subscription period for remote features. To activate, go to Bell activation page.
