What is Power My Trip?

Power My Trip enables you to add destinations for your upcoming trips. It also allows you to see what the fastest route is and where nearby charging stations are. This feature can work in FordPass®* and your in-vehicle SYNC** screen.

FordPass 5.X Experience

The Power My Trip feature is currently not available on FordPass 5.X. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. 

There are alternatives we recommend that may meet your needs:

Connected Navigation

  • The Connected Navigation in your Ford electric vehicle (EV) automatically adds charging stops to your route.
  • You can also search for chargers by selecting Where to? then Chargers.

Apple Maps EV Routing in Apple CarPlay®†

  • TheApple Maps EV Routing feature creates a route to your destination, including EV charging stations along the way. 

  • It is activated through Apple CarPlay.

    Note: A software update is required to enable Apple Maps EV Routing.

Android Auto™††

  • There is no equivalent functionality for Android devices. 
  • Google Maps EV Routing is coming to Android Auto soon.

You can also search for charging stations using FordPass or the Public Charging App on your in-vehicle touchscreen.

FordPass 4.X Experience

To use Power My Trip With FordPass, you need to:

When Using the Power My Trip feature, you can:

  • Get the fastest route to a destination.
  • Add other destinations along the way.
  • View nearby charging stations.
  • View estimated arrival times.
  • Set departure times and other route options.
  • Add the Tow & Haul‡ option to your trip.

Notes:

  • Trip Plans are vehicle-specific (Vehicle Identification Number related).
  • Members associated with an authorized vehicle will have access to the Trip Plans of that unique vehicle. 
  • Unless you rename them, trip names always default to the destination address.
