How do I add a vehicle to FordPass?
You can add your vehicle(s) to FordPass®* using the Home or Vehicle screen, depending on your FordPass App Experience. Adding a vehicle to FordPass allows you to access features specific to your vehicle model, trim, and year.
Notes:
- If you want to add another user to access your vehicle, visit Authorize Another User for the proper steps.
- You can only have up to 10 vehicles added to your FordPass account.
Adding a Vehicle to FordPass
Select the drop-down below that meets your need for adding a vehicle or additional vehicles to FordPass.
First Time Adding a Vehicle - FordPass App 4.X Experience
To add your first vehicle to FordPass:
- Log in to the FordPass App.
- Press Add My Vehicle.
- Enter your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) using one of the following methods:
- Type in your VIN manually.

Select the camera icon to scan your VIN.
Note: If you need help locating your VIN, tap the Where is my VIN? link.
- Select Next.
Your vehicle should appear on the Home screen.
First Time Adding a Vehicle - FordPass App 5.X Experience
To add your first vehicle to FordPass:
- Open the FordPass App.
- Press Add Vehicle.
- Press one of the following options on the pop-up message for camera access:

Selecting Allow will allow FordPass to access your phone's camera.
Note: The scan window will appear to capture your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and route you to the Vehicle screen.
- Selecting Don't Allow will prevent FordPass from accessing your camera and you will need to type in your VIN.

Tap Enter VIN Manually.
Note: If you need help locating your VIN, tap the Find Your VIN link.
- Enter your VIN.
- Select Next.

Your vehicle should appear in the garage.
Adding Additional Vehicles - FordPass App 4.X Experience
To add another vehicle to FordPass:
- Log in to the FordPass App.
- Go to the Home screen.
- Select the drop-down arrow to the right of your vehicle name.

Tap Add Vehicle.
Note: You can also add a vehicle on the Account tab by selecting the + next to the My Vehicles section.
- Enter your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) using one of the following methods:
- Type in your VIN manually.

Select the camera icon to scan your VIN.

- Select Next.
Your vehicle should appear in the drop-down menu on the Home screen.

To add another vehicle to FordPass:
- Log in to the FordPass App.

If you already have a vehicle selected, tap the Garage icon in the top right hand corner.
Note: The garage will load by default if you have not previously selected a vehicle.
- Tap the Add Vehicle button.
- Press one of the following options on the pop-up message:
