How do I update my Ford or FordPass®* account username?

Your Ford account and FordPass App account share the same username (email). You can update the sign-in credentials for your Ford account on the Ford website or the FordPass App.

Notes:

  • Updating your username (email) through any of the methods below will change your login credentials for both your Ford and FordPass account.
  • Ford Credit utilizes different login credentials than your Ford and FordPass account. To update your Ford Credit account information, visit the Ford Credit website and sign in to your Account Manager. 
  • If you forgot your password, refer to the Reset Your Ford Account instructions. 

Changing Your Account Username

With a Mobile Device

To update your Ford account username using a mobile device:

  1. Go to Ford.ca.
  2. Log in to your Ford account.
  3. Tap the Menu dropdown.

  4. Select My Account​​​​​.

  5. Tap <Your Name's> Account.

  6. Choose the Account Settings tile.

  7. Scroll down and select Edit.

  8. Update your email address, which is also your username.
  9. Confirm your changes by selecting Update.

With a Computer

To update your Ford account username using a computer:

  1. Go to Ford.ca.
  2. Log in to your Ford account.
  3. Select My Account.
  4. Choose <Your Name's> Account.

  5. Scroll down to the Manage Your Account section, then select Edit now in the Account Settings tile.

  6. Click Edit.

  7. Update your email address, which is also your username.
  8. Confirm your changes by selecting Update.

With the FordPass App

To update your Ford or FordPass account username using the FordPass App:

  1. Log in to the FordPass App. 
  2. Select Account.
  3. Go to Settings.
  4. Tap Change Username.
  5. Complete the security prompt based on your phone's settings. 
  6. Type in your new username (email).
  7. Confirm your new username. 
  8. Check the box, to make your new username your preferred contact email.
  9. Tap Save.

After changing your username, you will be logged out of the FordPass App. Log back in using your new email address and password.
