How do I enable the FordPass®* Connect Wi-Fi Hotspot?

To use the FordPass® Connect Wi-Fi hotspot feature:

Finally, before using the Wi-Fi hotspot feature, you must first set up a Wi-Fi data plan with Bell (through AT&T). Visit bell.ca/connectedcar for more information such as plan costs. Your vehicle may be eligible for a complimentary three-month or 3GB trial.


To enable Wi-Fi hotspot in your vehicle:

  1. Ensure you are in a safe, well-ventilated area and start your vehicle.
  2. Touch Settings on your SYNC® screen.
  3. Select Wi-Fi & Hotspot.
  4. Select Vehicle Hotspot.
  5. Slide the Toggle button to the right to enable Wi-Fi.

*Wi-Fi hotspot includes wireless data trial that begins upon Bell activation and expires at the end of 3 months or when 3GB of data is used, whichever comes first, but cannot extend beyond the trial subscription period for remote features. To activate, go to www.bell.ca/connectedcar.

**FordPass Connect, (optional on select vehicles), the FordPass App., and complimentary FordPass Connect Service are required for remote features (see FordPass Terms for details). Connected service and features depend on compatible cellular network availability. Evolving technology/cellular networks/vehicle capability may limit functionality and prevent operation of connected features. FordPass Connect Service excludes Bell Wi-Fi hotspot. Certain restrictions, 3rd-party terms or message/data rates may apply.
