What is the recommended engine oil for my Ford?
Ford recommends specific Motorcraft® engine oil types that vary by your vehicle and engine. Using the right oil helps keep your vehicle’s engine clean, reduces overall wear, and maximizes performance.
Refer to the table below for instructions on finding your recommended engine oil and filter.
Resource | Instructions |
Owner's Manual | Refer to the Maintenance > Engine Oil > Engine section of your Owner's Manual. You will see your vehicle's recommended oil and oil filter, and the amount of oil your vehicle takes. |
FCSD Chemicals and Lubricants Website |
Model years appear on the right side of the table. If the box under your vehicle's model year is shaded, the recommended Motorcraft oil type, filter, and refill amount at the top of the table are the ones your vehicle uses. Example: The below image shows that a 2021 to 2024 2.0L EB Bronco Sport vehicle takes SAE 5W-30 Motorcraft oil, has a 5.5-quart capacity, and uses a Motorcraft FL910S oil filter. ![]() |
