How are Ford recalls determined?

Ford Motor Company of Canada Limited works and Transport Canada work together to proactively identify areas of concern through investigation of consumer and dealer feedback. During an investigation, Ford co-operates fully with Transport Canada.

All recall programs are VIN specific. Vehicles involved in a recall may be identified by specific build dates within a model year, the assembly plant, or other factors.  If a program is announced on a vehicle, Ford will notify the last owner of record by mail.

If your vehicle is involved in a recall, contact your Ford Dealer as soon as possible to schedule an appointment.
