How do I set the clock with SYNC®*?

To learn how to set your Ford vehicle's clock with your SYNC system, select the appropriate drop-down option below.

Setting Your Clock

Note: You can confirm your SYNC generation through the SYNC and Navigation Updates page by entering your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) or logging in with your Ford credentials and selecting Check for Update. Your SYNC Generation will appear under "SYNC Current Version".

To set the time:

  1. Click on the Home icon on your vehicle's SYNC screen.
  2. Press Settings.
  3. Tap Clock.
  4. Use the Arrow buttons to adjust the time.

To adjust automatic time change settings:

  1. Click on the Home icon on your vehicle's SYNC screen.
  2. Press Settings.
  3. Tap Clock Settings.
  4. Switch Automatic Time Zone Update on or off.

To set the time:

  1. Press Settings on your vehicle's SYNC screen.
  2. Tap Clock Settings.
  3. Use the Arrow buttons to adjust the time.

Note: The a.m. and p.m. options are not available in the 24-hour mode.

To adjust automatic time change settings:

  1. Press Settings on your vehicle's SYNC screen.
  2. Tap Clock Settings.
  3. Switch Automatic time zone update on or off.

To personalize your clock settings:

  1. Press Settings on your vehicle's SYNC screen.
  2. Press Clock:
    • Set the time using the + or - signs.
    • Press A.M. or P.M. to choose between morning or afternoon.
    • Choose a clock format (12-hour or 24-hour mode).
    • Turn on Automatic Time Zone Update (for navigation-equipped vehicles).
    • Set the clock to GPS time (for navigation-equipped vehicles).

SYNC with MyFord Touch

To personalize your clock settings:

  1. Press the clock display on top of your SYNC screen.
  2. Press + or - to adjust the time.
  3. Press A.M. or P.M. to choose between morning or afternoon.
  4. Use the Up and Down arrows to set your preferences:
    • Set the clock display (date or time).
    • Reset the clock to GPS time (for vehicles equipped with navigation).
    • Display outside temperature.
    • Set Automatic Time Zone updates.
    • Select a 12-hour or 24-hour format.

Actual screens may vary. See your Owner’s Manual for information specific to your vehicle.

*Don’t drive while distracted. Use voice-operated systems when possible; don’t use handheld devices while driving. Some features may be locked out while the vehicle is in gear. Not all features are compatible with all phones.
