What does the Ford Protect ESP cover?

Ford offers several different Ford Protect ESPs which cover a variety of components. Refer to the table below for information on each type of ESP Ford offers.

  • Ford Protect ESPs only cover failure of covered components due to defects in material and/or workmanship. Normal wear and tear is not included.
  • If a repair qualifies for coverage, you only pay the applicable deductible.

Maintenance Plans

Ford Protect Maintenance Plans cover vehicle maintenance needs.

  • Extra Maintenance Plan: A plan that covers all scheduled maintenance as listed in the Owner’s Scheduled Maintenance Guide plus routine inspections and certain wear and tear items that require periodic attention.
  • Basic (Essential) Maintenance Plan: A plan that covers oil changes to tire rotations; no wear and tear items are covered. Maintenance plans are prepaid, and you pay nothing for covered services.
  • Electric Premium Maintenance Plan (Battery Electric Vehicles): A plan that covers all scheduled maintenance as listed in the Owner’s Scheduled Maintenance Guide plus routine inspections and certain wear and tear items that require periodic attention.
