The 2027 Ford Explorer Platinum now comes with the available Ford Security Package, included for a year from the new-vehicle warranty start date or available as a one-time purchase option. ^*

The vehicle can be upgraded with the available 3.0-litre EcoBoost® engine, which also includes a variety of features like quilted leather seating surfaces and an exclusive wheel style. There are two new colours available — Avalanche Grey and Ruby Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat. And you can delete the standard roof rails with the Slick Roof Conversion option.

The 2027 Ford Explorer Platinum seats six or seven people, depending on the options selected. Second-row captain’s chairs are standard, while an available second-row bench seat adds capacity for one additional passenger.

3-Row Seating: The 2027 Ford Explorer Platinum has PowerFold® third-row seats standard.

The 2027 Ford Explorer Platinum model has a maximum cargo capacity of 2,416 litres (85.3 cubic feet). Behind the rear seats, when all seats are in place, the cargo capacity is 461 litres (16.3 cubic feet). ¹⁰¹

The 2027 Ford Explorer Platinum has two available engines. A 2.3-litre EcoBoost® I-4 engine is standard. There’s also a 3.0-litre EcoBoost V6 engine available.

The 2027 Ford Explorer Platinum with the standard 2.3-litre EcoBoost engine has a rated horsepower of 300 hp. Models with the available 3.0-litre EcoBoost engine have a rated horsepower of 400 hp. ⁶⁸
