    During any workday, multiple employees could be driving your Transit Connect. That, in turn, means different levels of driving expertise. With that in mind, a wide range of technologies10  have been developed to help keep them all confident behind the wheel.

    PRE-COLLISION ASSIST WITH AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING

    If the system’s sensors detect a potential collision with a car or pedestrian in front of you, a warning flashes on the windshield and an audible alert sounds. The brakes precharge and increase brake-assist sensitivity to provide full responsiveness when you do brake.118  Available on XL and standard on XLT.

    AVAILABLE LANE-KEEPING SYSTEM

    A camera mounted behind the windshield scans road lane markings to determine vehicle position and detects a lane departure. This feature can operate during the day or night. Available Lane-Keeping Alert warns you through a series of steering wheel vibrations, which mimic a rumble strip, should the system detect an unintentional lane departure.10,138 Available on XL and standard on XLT.

    AUTO HIGH-BEAM HEADLAMPS

    Available Auto High-Beam Headlamps can sense poor lighting conditions and switch on to light your path ahead.10  They can even sense oncoming headlights and dim automatically, so you don’t have to worry about blinding other drivers.10  They can help you keep your focus on the road – and both hands on the wheel. Available on XL and standard on XLT.

    BLIS® WITH CROSS-TRAFFIC ALERT

    Available BLIS®  (Blind Spot Information System) with Cross-Traffic Alert uses radar to identify if a vehicle is detected in your blind spot and alerts you with an indicator light in the appropriate exterior mirror.10  Cross-Traffic Alert also uses radar to watch for traffic behind you as you’re slowly backing out of a parking spot or driveway. If cross-traffic sensors detect a vehicle approaching, you will be audibly and visually alerted.

    REAR VIEW CAMERA

    The standard Rear View Camera10  provides a video image on the centre-stack screen of the area behind your vehicle. The camera is activated when you shift into Reverse and back up slowly. The screen has guides to help you align your vehicle with a trailer or assist you with backing up in tight places.
