All new F-150
*Preproduction model shown. Available late 2014.
The all-new 2015 F-150 is a giant leap forward in truck technology. Why are we introducing it now?
Because now and in the coming years, your truck will have to be stronger, more productive and more efficient, because the jobs keep getting harder and gas prices are rising. So we turned to high-strength, military-grade,* aluminum alloy for our body and bed. We developed new technologies. We rethought conventional assumptions and charted the future of tough. As always, we did what was right, not what was easy. Which is why the all-new F-150 is designed to deliver more towing and hauling capability than the previous generation. That's real-world capability. That's why we own work.
Our military-grade* aluminum alloy has earned the Built Ford Tough® badge.
From its fully boxed, high-strength-steel frame to the use of high-strength, military-grade, aluminum alloys* in its body and bed, this F-150 takes tough to a whole new level. Weighing in as much as 700 lbs. less than its predecessor helps make this truck a whole lot more capable and more effective too. Plus, it accelerates, brakes and resists corrosion like never before. In addition, we standardized the chemistry of the aluminum alloy used in the construction of the 2015 F-150 body and bed to facilitate recycling. Our aluminum scrap can be reclaimed and sent back into the manufacturing process to minimize waste.
The F-150's legendary ability to work still depends on a steel backbone.
Our new, fully-boxed high-strength steel frame is stronger and more rigid than ever with eight cross sections. Roll forming allows us to tailor the gauge of the steel in specific sections of the frame in order to maximize strength as necessary.
As always, we start with what a pickup truck has to do to get the job done as quickly, capably and efficiently as possible.
Then we maximize efficiency without sacrificing any performance or capability. That’s a winning formula for truck owners.
Like its predecessor the 3.5L EcoBoost V6, this second-generation 2.7L EcoBoost V6 dynamo....
.... achieves great low-end torque and capability combined with efficiency, bringing EcoBoost technology to a new level. The compacted graphite iron block is extremely strong. It's the same material we use in the engine block of our 6.7L Power Stroke diesel. Auto start/stop technology, a variable-displacement oil pump, and new stronger yet lighter connecting rods are just a few of the innovations that make our newest EcoBoost engine efficient and powerful enough for your worksite or, for that matter, even the Baja 1000.
Check out how the all-new 2.7L EcoBoost V6 engine conquered the Baja 1000.
A new design that combines twin independent variable camshaft timing (Ti-VCT) efficiency and Flex-fuel capability.
Proven tough after years of real-world jobsite torture and with more than 400,000 EcoBoost-equipped F-150s out on the road, this available EcoBoost delivers the kind of power you'd expect from a V8 with the kind of efficiency you’d expect from a V6.
Trusted eight-cylinder power with twin independent variable camshaft timing (Ti-VCT), variable valve overlap for traditional V8 power, performance and capability plus it is also flex-fuel capable.
We subjected the earliest prototypes to bashing terrain, temperatures ranging from 49°C all the way down to -29°C, and climates thick with salt.
Over 16 million cumulative kilometres before the first truck rolls off the line. Now we're doing the same to production prototypes. And you get to watch. You're about to see testing, a glimpse behind the curtain like you've never seen before.

The all-new F-150 is designed to deliver more towing and hauling capability than the previous generation and the technology to do it with confidence.
Available Dynamic Hitch Assist helps you guide your ball right to the trailer's receiver. Our standard trailer sway control helps keep whatever you’re towing behind you where it belongs.
