How do I extend the remote start run time for my Ford vehicle?

You can increase your remote start run time using the Ford app or your in-vehicle instrument cluster by following the steps below. 

Extending Remote Start 

Select your preferred method from the drop-down options below for more information on how to increase your remote start run time.

Extend Your Remote Start in the Ford App

Note: To use this function, your initial start must be requested from the Ford app and not your keyfob.

  1. Log in to the Ford app.
  2. Select the Extend button from the in-app notification.

Extend Your Remote Start in Your Vehicle

  1. Start your vehicle.
  2. Use the directional pad on your steering wheel to select Settings.
  3. Navigate to Advanced Settings.
  4. Press OK.
  5. Navigate to Vehicle.
  6. Press OK.
  7. Navigate to Remote Start.
  8. Press OK.
  9. Navigate to Duration.
  10. Press OK.
  11. Select from the three options:
    • 5 minutes
    • 10 minutes
    • 15 minutes

Notes:

  • The option that is highlighted will be the selected option.
  • Once the selection is made, you can back out of this menu by pressing the left arrow on the directional pad.
