Why is the Ford app not responding?
If you receive a message stating the Ford app has become unresponsive, attempt the following:
- Check for any Ford app updates on your mobile device.
- If the update option appears, complete the update and try using the Ford app again.
- If the Ford app shows as up-to-date, continue to troubleshoot using the steps below.
Note: If you are unsure if your app version is up-to-date, search for "Ford" in your respective app store.
- Check your cellular strength and/or Wi-Fi® connection.
- If using Wi-Fi, check to see if it is enabled.
- If Wi-Fi is turned off, turn Wi-Fi on and attempt to connect.
- If Wi-Fi is turned on, turn Wi-Fi off and attempt to connect using cellular data.
- If using your cellular data, check to see if it is enabled.
- If cellular data is turned off, turn cellular data on and attempt to connect.
- If cellular data is turned on, turn cellular data off and attempt to connect using Wi-Fi.
- If using Wi-Fi, check to see if it is enabled.
Force close the Ford app.

iOS® devices without a Home button
iOS devices with a Home button
- Select Settings on your device.
- Scroll down and select Apps in the Device section.
- Select the Ford app.
- Tap the Stop or Force Stop option.
- Select OK to confirm the action.
- Swipe up from the bottom of the screen.
- Locate the Ford app from the list of open apps.
- Slide up on the Ford app
- Press the Home button twice.
- Swipe left or right until you locate the Ford app.
- Swipe up on the the Ford app.
- Log out of the Ford app and then back in.
- Power off your device for 30 - 60 seconds.
