What is Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking on my Ford?
The Pre-Collision Assist* with Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) feature is a driver-assist system designed to help detect and potentially avoid frontal collisions with other vehicles and pedestrians.
If a potential collision is detected, an alert sound is emitted, and a warning message will be displayed on the instrument cluster.
Notes:
- If your response is not sufficient, the AEB feature will increase Brake Assist sensitivity to provide full responsiveness when you brake.
- If you do not take corrective action and a collision is imminent, the brakes will apply automatically.

Where can I learn more about Driver-Assist technologies?
*Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking can detect pedestrians, but not in all conditions and does not replace safe driving. Driver-assist features are supplemental and do not replace the driver’s attention, judgment, and need to control the vehicle. See Owner's Manual for system limitations.
