How do I reverse pair a phone with SYNC®*?

Reverse pairing is an alternate method of connecting your device to your SYNC system. Please use the standard method of pairing first, and if you are unable to establish a connection using the standard method, you can attempt the reverse-pairing method.

For instructions on how to reverse-pair a device with SYNC, select the appropriate drop-down option below.

SYNC Reverse Pairing Instructions

Note: You can confirm your SYNC generation through the SYNC and Navigation Updates page by entering your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) or logging in with your Ford credentials and selecting Check for Update. Your SYNC Generation will appear under "SYNC Current Version".
