What SYNC^®* version do I have in my Ford vehicle?

There are two resources to help you identify your vehicle's SYNC generation:

To locate your vehicle's SYNC 4A software version:

1. Tap Settings or the Home icon (varies by software version) on your vehicle's SYNC screen. 
2. Press Settings.
3. Select General.
4. Tap About SYNC to see your current software version.
   

To locate your vehicle's SYNC 4 software version:

1. Tap Settings on your vehicle's SYNC screen.
   
    
2. Press General.
   
    
3. Select About SYNC to display your SYNC software version.
   
    

Your SYNC software version will appear.

To locate your vehicle's SYNC 3 software version:

1. Select Settings from your vehicle's SYNC screen.
   
    
2. Tap General.
   
    
3. Tap About SYNC to display your SYNC software version.
   
    

Your SYNC software version will appear.

To locate your vehicle's SYNC with MyFord Touch software version:

1. Press Settings (Gear icon).
2. Select Help.
3. Choose System Information.
4. Look for the number after CCPU S/W Version.
5. Use the table below to match the CCPU number with the SYNC software version.

To locate your vehicle's SYNC with MyFord software version:

1. Press the Phone button to access your vehicle's SYNC menu.
2. Tap the down arrow until you see "Return," then press OK.
3. Press the down arrow until you see "Advanced," then press OK.
4. Tap the down arrow until you see "System Info," then press OK.
5. Press the down arrow until you see "FPN," then press OK.
6. Use the table below to match the FPN with the SYNC software version.

To locate your vehicle's SYNC with Voice-Activated Navigation software version:

1. Tap the Phone button.
2. Press Settings. You may have to do this twice depending on if a phone is connected or not.
3. Select Advanced.
4. Tap the down arrow twice.
5. Press System Information.
6. Use the table below to match the FPN number with your SYNC software version.

To locate your vehicle's SYNC Gen 1.1 software version:

1. Tap the Menu button.
2. Scroll to "SYNC Settings", then press OK.
3. Scroll to "System info", then select OK.
4. Scroll to "FPN number".
5. Use the table below to match the FPN number with your SYNC software version.

To locate your vehicle's SYNC Gen 1 software version:

1. Press the AUX button until the screen displays "Line In", then Press Menu.
2. Scroll to "System Settings", then tap OK.
3. Scroll to "Advanced", then select OK.
4. Scroll to "System Info", then press OK.
5. Scroll to "FPN number", then tap OK. You may have to press the text button if the number is cut off.
6. Use the table below to match the FPN number with your SYNC software version.
