How do I update my Ford BlueCruise maps?

Ford BlueCruise* maps update automatically once you enable automatic updates and set a daily schedule in your vehicle settings. To learn more about updating or troubleshooting BlueCruise maps, refer to the following information.

Updating Your BlueCruise Maps

To get updates for your BlueCruise maps:

  1. Confirm automatic system updates are on and scheduled to be received daily.
  2. Confirm Vehicle Connectivity is on. 

Troubleshooting Your BlueCruise Map Updates

If your maps are not updating, or you are not receiving map updates, confirm if your map has an expiry date or a map part number. 

To check your expiry date or map part number: 

  1. Select Settings using your vehicle's SYNC®** screen.
  2. Choose General.
  3. Tap About SYNC and scroll down to BlueCruise Map Expiration.
    • If you see an expiry date, and it has passed, visit your preferred Ford Dealer to update your BlueCruise maps.
    • If you see a map part number, contact the Ford Customer Relationship Centre using our Live Chat option or by calling 1-800-565-3673.

Note: Although a BlueCruise map expiration date may display on the SYNC screen, you should not lose your hands-free highway driving capability as long as you have an active BlueCruise subscription.
