4x4 – with Part-Time Selectable Engagement
The Electronic Shift-On-The-Fly (ESOF) Two-Speed Transfer Case is the base, “part-time” system. This system offers the driver three modes plus Neutral. In 4H and 4L, the system provides mechanically locked four-wheel-drive power. When 4L is selected, wheel torque increases for conditions like deep sand, steep grades or pulling heavy objects.
