What is Ford BlueCruise*?

Ford BlueCruise (formerly Active Drive Assist) builds upon available driver-assist technologies to allow for hands-free driving on prequalified sections of highways called Hands-Free Blue Zones that make up over 200,000 kilometres of North American roads.

How BlueCruise Works

BlueCruise uses driver-facing cameras and vehicle sensors which allow you to operate your vehicle hands-free, while still ensuring your eyes are on the road. In combination with your vehicle's embedded Navigation, your equipped vehicle will automatically detect when you are in a Hands-Free Blue Zone by showing an illuminated indicator on the digital instrument cluster.

Visit the BlueCruise homepage to see an interactive map of the Hands-Free Blue Zones. To learn how to use BlueCruise in your vehicle (if equipped), visit Enable and Activate Ford BlueCruise.

BlueCruise is currently available on the following models:

Use the Build and Price tool to view feature availability on current models. If you have questions or need more information, reference your Owner’s Manual or contact your Ford Dealer. Active Drive Assist is a hands-free highway driving feature. Only remove hands from the steering wheel when in a Hands-Free Zone. Always watch the road and be prepared to resume control of the vehicle. It does not replace safe driving. See Owner's Manual for detail and limitations. Requires Ford Connect activation through the FordPass® App (see FordPass Terms for details) and a FordPass Member Account.

**Connected service and features depend on compatible cellular network availability. Evolving technology/cellular networks/vehicle capability may limit functionality and prevent the operation of connected features. FordPass App, compatible with select smartphone platforms, is available via download. Message and data rates may apply.
